ABU & the Rhythm Partners is a collective of musicians and melomaniacs of different backgrounds with the objective of creating music that is artistic and soulful. This album is inspired by the sound of the founding Jamaican music labels like Federal, Studio One, Treasure Isle and Randy's, as well as major US labels like Atlantic, Motown, and Stax.

As the name indicates in “Version Galore,” there are an abundance of reggae versions of American Soul and R&B classics, genres which were very popular in Jamaica in the sixties and seventies. Classic Soul melodies mixed with Reggae rhythms… a perfect cocktail.

This LP is comprised of five short vocal stylings and five dub versions in a showcase format with 10 songs of love and hope for these uncertain times.

From Soul to Reggae: Version Galore

From the realm of their kingdom, ABU reunites with Rhythm Partners to create this cover album. Once the souls were chosen, los socios del ritmo were charged with the musical reimagining for this journey of love and hope in these uncertain times. It is a soulful experience of Jamaican landscapes and aromas compiled of five short vocal stylings, along with their five dub versions, to showcase the purest style of this musical voyage.
